The course will run along a similar route as it has in years past, heading east from the start through Vail Village toward the Vail Golf Course and finishing back at Check Point Charlie.<\/p>\n<p>Event categories include a 5K run\/walk and a kids\u2019 1K in which strollers are welcome. Adult registration is $25 and kids are $10. Teams of 4 or more adults will receive a discounted entry fee of $20 but must register as a team on-site at the race. Registration is now open online at <a href=\"http:\/\/visitvailvalley.com\/vail_admin\/sitenews.asp?process=add#\" target=\"_blank\">www.vailoktoberfest.com<\/a> and will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 13. On-site registration and check in will take place from 8-8:45 a.m. on September 14th the day of the Fun Run, and the event will get going promptly at 9 a.m. with a quick stretch and then our little runners take off on the 1k Fun Run! The 5k will follow quickly follow.<\/p>\n<p>Children will receive a goody bag, with a sweatband for the race as well as a medal at the finish. There will be food, drinks and fun activities for the families.<\/p>\n<p>The Oktoberfest Fun Run is part of Vail Oktoberfest, the annual celebration of the arrival of autumn held in Vail Village Sept. 12-14.
