Vail Bluegrass announces the lineup for its inaugural series to be held on Wednesdays, July 2, July 16, August 13 and August 27 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Arrabelle at Vail Square. The Vail Summer Bluegrass Series is a free event with the option to purchase tickets for preferred seating. Tickets for preferred seating will go on sale Tuesday, April 1 on the website.<\/p>\n
Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon kicks things off on July 2 with the Drew Emmitt Band, while GRAMMY award-winner and six-time nominee, Peter Rowan brings his Bluegrass Band to the Vail Bluegrass stage on July 16. Following a four-week break, Vail Bluegrass continues on August 13 featuring GRAMMY nominee, Sarah Jarosz. The Travelin’ McCourys featuring all current members of the GRAMMY award-winning Del McCoury Band (excluding Del) close out the series joined by Bill Nershi of the String Cheese Incident. Supporting artists will be announced in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the Vail Summer Bluegrass Series is supporting Colorado\u2019s Sera Schools Music Program. Sera Schools, a community-based music school in Colorado (with a location in the Vail Valley), offers education programs and music lessons for children and adults in piano, guitar, violin and voice. The Sera Schools Music Program has set up a scholarship fund in the name of Vail Bluegrass.<\/p>\n
