Margaret comes to the Partnership with a wealth of knowledge in group and meeting business as the former Director of Sales at Vail Cascade Resort &amp; Spa. Margaret joins Kim Brussow, John Carter, Sandra Perrig-Holst and Tina Schwab on the Group Sales team at the Partnership. <\/p>\n<p>At the Partnership, Margaret will dedicate her efforts to bringing medical conferences, medical groups, as well as other group and meeting business to Vail. With a health-conscious community and naturally invigorating environment, the Vail Valley is increasingly becoming a sought-after destination for medical-related meetings. Additionally, Margaret will focus on a new geographic territory to the Partnership\u2019s Group Sales team, the northeast. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m excited to enhance and grow business from the medical\/healthcare market and northeast territory for the Town of Vail. Vail offers a plethora of medical facilities and resources that make our town unique from other mountain resort communities,\u201d said Margaret Coyle, national sales director at Vail Valley Partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Recruiting groups, meetings and weddings to the Vail Valley is something the Partnership places a large and year-round emphasis on. The Partnership\u2019s destination marketing efforts, including group sales, event recruiting and leisure sales, will result in a total economic impact of over $69 million in 2013, contributing over $4.1 million in state and local tax revenues. The focus on tourism efforts as a part of VVP\u2019s economic development strategy is essential. Visitor spending in Eagle County equals $869.1 million annually, contributing $54 million in state and local tax revenues. Direct visitor spending benefits hotels, retailers, restaurants, attractions, transportation services and other small businesses, and in addition directly supports jobs for more than 6,800 people in the Vail Valley region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Partnership is thrilled to have Margaret Coyle join our sales team to focus on increasing groups &amp; meetings to Vail. Her focus on health &amp; wellness and medical groups is a great alignment with the Vail brand, as well as both the 2014 Eagle County Economic Development Plan and the state of Colorado\u2019s strategic plan.
