The county will be eligible to institute the program after the state approves the county\u2019s request to do so, when there are 7 consecutive days of the COVID-19 incidence rate in the appropriate Dial Level. The county\u2019s application must also include letters of support from Vail Health, municipalities, and law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/covid19.colorado.gov\/press-release\/cdphe-finalizes-parameters-for-5-star-variance-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorado\u2019s \u201c5 Star\u201d Certified Business Variance Program<\/a> allows businesses to expand operations by implementing safety measures beyond what is already required by public health orders and guidelines to help slow the spread of COVID-19. This program is designed for responsible businesses that are following public health guidance, and have demonstrated a commitment to the health and safety of their staff and customers.<\/p>\n<p>Counties in Level Yellow are not eligible to allow 5 Star businesses to operate in Level Blue until 70% of the population 70 and over has been vaccinated statewide.<\/p>\n<p>Locally, the program\u2019s goals are to:<br \/>\n-Encourage businesses to voluntarily implement safety strategies above and beyond what is already required by public health orders and guidelines<br \/>\n-Accelerate businesses reopening with additional safety measures that make them eligible for for less restrictive capacity caps<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 5 Star Variance Protection Program is a testament to the collaboration and partnership between the public and private sector to benefit Eagle County\u2019s business community,\u201d said Chris Romer, President of the Vail Valley Partnership. \u201cThe continued collaboration and focus on building systems that recognize and support public health realities while allowing businesses to expand their operations will benefit our local community and our visitors alike, keeping Eagle County on the forefront of innovative approaches to support our economy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More information about the program and the application process is available at \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eaglecountycovid.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.eaglecountycovid.org<\/a> under Business Resources.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong>El condado se prepara para aceptar solicitudes de negocios para el programa &#8220;5 estrellas&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>17 de febrero del 2021 &#8211; El Condado de Eagle se est\u00e1 preparando para aceptar <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/eaglecounty.us\/covid\/programa-de-certificaci%C3%B3n-5-estrellas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">solicitudes de negocios para el programa &#8220;5 estrellas\u201d<\/a>, el cual permite a los establecimientos que califiquen operar en un nivel menos restrictivo del Sistema de Indicadores de COVID-19 en base a la orientaci\u00f3n actual de salud p\u00fablica.
