The change requires updates to the local <a title=\"public health order\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eaglecounty.us\/PublicHealth\/Documents\/Public_Health_Order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">public health order<\/a> to address increased disease spread in the community. The order continues to incorporate <a title=\"statewide orders\" href=\"https:\/\/covid19.colorado.gov\/prepare-protect-yourself\/prevent-the-spread\/public-health-executive-orders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statewide orders<\/a> in their entirety, while including additional local requirements. Both changes will be effective as of 5 p.m. on Nov. 16<\/p>\n<p>Case incidence rates continue to climb, and Eagle County\u2019s move to the High Risk: Safer At Home category on the <a title=\"statewide dial dashboard\" href=\"https:\/\/covid19.colorado.gov\/data\/covid-19-dial\/covid-19-dial-dashboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statewide dial dashboard<\/a> is intended to address this steep rise. Officials note that while the new order is certainly not a move in the right direction, the change does not shut down businesses or schools. It does mean <a title=\"additional capacity limits\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Wpq8MrsvtY0_jW07mWCLmVXtv4P_wFR2\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">additional capacity limits<\/a> on restaurants, retail establishments, places of worship, gyms, group sports and events.<\/p>\n<p>Officials are also reminding the community that while local public health agencies have the ability to add local restrictions, they do not have the discretion to be less restrictive than state orders. In addition to the statewide requirements, Eagle County\u2019s updated order includes the following new local provisions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reflects the change from level Yellow to level Orange<\/li>\n<li>Clarifies face coverings are required in restaurants and bars except when actively eating or drinking and provided that social distancing is maintained between members of different parties<\/li>\n<li>Requires all events to be approved by Eagle County Government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The order also includes previously adopted local requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outlines requirements for people who are sick and for people who have been exposed to someone who is sick, including cooperating with the county on case and outbreak investigations<\/li>\n<li>Requires all visitors be free of any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 for 14 days prior to arrival in Eagle County.<\/li>\n<li>Continues face covering requirements in indoor public spaces for those over the age of two, with limited exceptions<\/li>\n<li>Provides general business requirements, as well as specific guidance for organized recreational youth and adult league sports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All community members are encouraged to read the state and local public health orders in their entirety.<\/p>\n<p>Eagle County is also encouraging everyone to subscribe to <a title=\"CO Exposure Notifications\" href=\"https:\/\/covid19.colorado.gov\/Exposure-notifications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CO Exposure Notifications<\/a>, a free and voluntary service developed in partnership with Google and Apple that can notify users of possible exposure to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>By opting in, an Android or iPhone device will share anonymous tokens with other subscribers using the phone\u2019s Bluetooth. If users have been near someone who tests positive for COVID-19 within a 14-day period, the service will send a notification. Those who test positive can easily and anonymously notify others to stop the spread of COVID-19. Tokens contain no personal information or location data and everything is completely anonymous.
