As a member of Save Small Business Coalition (SSBC) and America\u2019s Recovery Fund Coalition (ARFC), Vail Valley Partnership is proud to support this effort, which will create a Recovery Fund and give American businesses much-needed stability as they continue to navigate the ongoing pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Partnership represents almost 900 small businesses\u00a0across Eagle County, each of which\u00a0has\u00a0their own unique story and deserves an equally tailored federal solution to ensure their doors remain open,\u201d said\u00a0Chris Romer, President &amp; CEO of\u00a0the VVP. The hospitality, lodging, retail and restaurant sectors has already lost hundreds of jobs due to COVID-19 (not to mention our other industry sectors equally impacted), but the Small Business Comeback Act will provide the funding relief our members need as they navigate a drastically altered business landscape. We thank Representatives Vela and Gooden and call on Congress to pass the Small Business Comeback Act so that our economic recovery may truly begin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Through a direct grant program with strong oversight and anti-corruption guardrails, the Small Business Comeback Act will allow businesses to retain and rehire employees, continue to provide benefits including health care, pay rent, local, and state taxes, and meet certain debt obligations. This will allow businesses to weather the pandemic, keep American workers employed, and preserve the health and livelihoods of communities across the United States, regardless of business structure or
