The latest lodging occupancy reports have been released, with booking data through November 30. Recent snowfall and mountain terrain openings have mitigated the slow start to the season, and overall winter occupancy is up slightly.<\/p>\n
Valley-wide lodging occupancies in November were higher than last year despite lower than average snow and delayed opening of Vail Mountain. Lodging occupancies for December are trending ahead of last year, with some variations in growth throughout the valley. January & February are pacing ahead of last year at this time throughout Vail, Avon, and Beaver Creek.<\/p>\n
Looking specifically at the upcoming holiday season, expect a spike in lodging occupancy starting this weekend and the typical pre-Christmas flatline with a large spike on December 26. Lodging occupancies overall remain strong through January 3, with varying booking patterns and year-over-year inconsistency throughout the valley. More clarity for the post-holiday season is to be expected with the release of the mid-month reports.<\/p>\n
