Folger\u00a0will implement BFF&#8217;s EmpowerMENt Program curriculum in local schools. EmpowerMENt encourages middle school aged boys to play an active leadership role in reducing gender violence, harassment, abuse, and bullying. \u00a0Folger also\u00a0works with fellow Youth Violence Prevention Specialist Belle Hollandsworth on the popular Buddy Mentors Program. \u00a0Based on the national Big Brother\/Big Sister model of mentorship, Buddy Mentors strives to inspire and foster youth through building consistent and trusting relationships.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin-285x300.jpg\" alt=\"Justin\" width=\"186\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin-285x300.jpg 285w, https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin-973x1024.jpg 973w, https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin-856x900.jpg 856w, https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin-494x520.jpg 494w, https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin-450x473.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin-750x789.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.vailvalleypartnership.com\/fa-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/08\/Justin.jpg 1848w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 186px) 100vw, 186px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBright Future Foundation is singular in its role and scope in Eagle County,\u201d said Folger.\u00a0 \u201cI am grateful and honored to have the opportunity to champion and implement programs that can have a lasting effect on the lives of young adults and the community in general.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Minnesota native, Folger\u00a0came to Bright Future after working in the Beaver Creek and Vail Children\u2019s Ski School and his post-graduate work in Boulder. He currently holds a Master in International and Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver. During the summer, Folger\u00a0is also a volunteer cycling coach with the Cycle Effect, a local non-profit devoted to empowering young women through mountain biking to achieve brighter futures and build stronger communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bright Future Foundation recently added Justin Folger to its Youth Violence Prevention team.
