Monthly fluctuations in occupancy occurred to to the Easter holiday and a few other anomalies in the calendar and overall winter was \u201cgood but not great\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"js-post-body post-body\">The good news is that summer lodging occupancy across Vail, Beaver Creek, and Avon (as measured by DestiMetrics) is very strong in both lodging occupancy and average daily rate. Lodging occupancies in aggregate are up 20%, and averages rates are up 7%. Granted, this is early as many summer reservations tend to book within 30 days of arrival, but the increase in bookings as of April 30 shows strength in group travel, destination visitation, and sporting events.
